The world of our hotel restaurant already begins in our cozy lobby right next to our reception. There is not only an inviting inglenook but also a well-equipped bar. A few steps further, in the charming main room of the restaurant, we serve fine foods of German and international cuisine. For weddings and other festivities, you can use the atmospheric ambience of our vaulted hall – suiting up to 80 guests. And if the weather is kind, you can continue your enjoyment in open air: the open-air restaurant of the estate awaits you!

Klosterschänke
The former abbey smithy next to our estate has long before been one of the most popular getaway destinations around Grimma. And this is not only due to its perfect location on the way to the jetty on river Mulde, but also due to its rustic ambience and regional homestyle cuisine. Dishes of wild game, prepared in old Saxonian tradition, belong to the house specialties. A unique gem of our »Klosterschänke« (monastery inn) is the carefully furnished »Luthersaal« for events with up to 50 guests: inside you can enjoy a medieval atmosphere by candlelight and in front of the hall, you can relax in the green open-air restaurant with a view on the abbey ruins.

Cooking school »Gaumenfreude«
Cooking has become a trend: more and more people find joy in refining their culinary skills or in learning ambitious recipes. For beginners and advanced, for quiet connoisseurs and secret chefs, we have established a perfectly equipped culinary school in our vaulted rooms. »Gaumenfreude« (»Culinary Delight«) – the name speaks for itself! Under qualified supervision, you will enjoy your commonly prepared festive menu from the beginning to the very last step.
We open our culinary school for groups of 10 to 20 participants – gladly also as a framework program for your conference or as a highlight of a multi-day family party. Reserve your program at +49 3437 995-187.

Bowling vault (Bowlinggewölbe) in the indulgence lounge
The constructors of the sustained barn did not dare to dream of this for sure: where in the olden times the cattle were safe from wind and weather, nowadays colorful bowling balls streak on four perfectly polished wooden lanes from one end to the other. Your bowling event under the cross vault is a unique experience – and we will serve excellent menus or great buffets in the entrance hall.
By the way: from November through March you can book your bowling round independently from any events.
