Bowling

Image

The builders of the long stable building would certainly never have dreamed of this: where in the old days the cattle found shelter from wind and weather, today colourful balls whiz from one end to the other on four well-polished wooden lanes. Your bowling party under the cross vault is a unique experience - and we serve you fine menus or sumptuous banquet buffets in the anteroom, as befits a gourmet lounge.

By the way: Between November and March you can also book your bowling round outside of events.

Hiking around Grimma

The romantic ruins of the former Nimbschen Abbey is a beautiful starting point for a hike into the close vicinity. Idyllic paths lead you to the abbey forests or directly along river Mulde to Schaddel and Großbothen. On the way, you will see the manually operated ferry. On demand, the ferryman brings you from Nimbschen Abbey to the small place of Höfgen with its restored fortified church and the technical exhibition workshops »Schiffmühle« and »Wassermühle«.

But also the way to Grimma with its cultural monuments and protected landscapes is feasible within about 30 minutes – and it is worth a try. At this place, where river Mulde is surrounded by a lovely range of hills and the river has created a beautiful floodplain, people always loved to settle down.
